The United Arab Emirates has been blessed with wise leadership that has always placed people at the heart of its priorities, from the era of the late Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and now under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

This leadership has placed the welfare of the people at the core of national priorities, ensuring that the country’s development journey aligns with the aspirations and ambitions of its citizens, earning their trust and serving as a beacon of hope for future generations.

With immense pride and deep gratitude, I accepted the esteemed trust placed in me by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to serve as the Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region.

As we embrace this responsibility, we pay tribute to the legacy of the late Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who dedicated decades of his life to the progress of Al Ain and the preservation of its achievements. Guided by the vision of the wise leadership, we pledge to continue his remarkable journey, ensuring that Al Ain continues to thrive as a shining beacon of the UAE and an integral pillar of its flourishing development journey.

Al Ain’s rich history, stunning landscapes, and unique archaeological, cultural and tourism landmarks, combined with the resilience, ambition and unwavering loyalty and dedication of its people, impose upon us a great responsibility.

Meeting the expectations of our wise leadership, we are determined to uphold Al Ain as a haven of security, progress and prosperity, ensuring the highest standards of government services, fostering synergy between public and private institutions, and upholding world-class standards across urban, economic and developmental projects.

Our confidence lies in the capabilities of the UAE people, who are empowered with knowledge and guided by the nation's deep-rooted values. We remain committed to providing an environment that nurtures innovation and creativity, ensuring that the children of Al Ain grow in an environment that inspires excellence and leadership. To this end, we will continue to develop a competitive infrastructure, in healthcare, education, technology, sports, and cultural and social activities, ensuring that future generations thrive and contribute meaningfully to their community and nation.

At this moment, I recall the wisdom of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who once said, “strengthening human capabilities and building upon it is a national necessity… for without good individuals, prosperity and wellbeing cannot be achieved for the nation."

People are the true foundation of progress, the custodians of achievements and the drivers of development. Investing in human capital therefore remains at the core of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, as we chart a path towards a prosperous future and sustainable growth that benefits every member of society.
