Al Ain Municipality recycles date palm to produce new items
The Al Ain Municipality has recycled 40 products of date palm and reproduced 55 new items as part of its sustainability policy.
The civic body presented its experiment to visitors of the ten-day 15th Liwa Date Festival, which was launched on 17th July.
Mohammed Saleh Al Yafaie, Director of Parks, Al Ain Municipality, said recycled date palm trunks and leaves are used to manufacture home furniture and appliances, shades, chairs and tables and others.
