MULTAQA ZAYED NATIONAL MUSEUM

About The Museum :

As completion of the Zayed National Museum draws closer, the Multaqa Zayed National Museum programme of talks will give those interested a fascinating insight into the museum.

Intended to be a platform for discussion and debate, this dynamic programme will link the content, location, and audience for each talk to the museum narrative. The series will encourage a further dialogue between the museum and its public whilst providing an opportunity for involvement to help shape Zayed National Museum into a museum truly representative of the UAE.

Zayed National Museum, the centrepiece of Saadiyat Cultural District, will be the pre-eminent national museum of the United Arab Emirates. It will tell the story of the development of the country through the life and achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE.

The Story will be set against the background of the deep history of the region and its cultural connections and significance across the globe. The museum will hold in trust, for the nation, a collection of art and artefacts from ancient and living cultures of the UAE, Arabia, and the wider Middle East. It will become a home as well as a research centre for the exploration and affirmation of the essentials of Emirati identity and allow the UAE’s diverse population an opportunity to celebrate its cultural inheritance.
